Report an animal in distress in Goa: +91 76662 35281
While most of our work focuses on rescuing and treating street and community animals, there’s another group that often slips through the cracks—abandoned pets, breeder discards, and animals rescued from neglectful or cruel situations. These animals cannot survive on the streets. They lack the instincts, the resilience, and often, the trust to navigate life alone.
Rehabilitation begins where rescue ends. It’s not just about treating wounds—it’s about understanding trauma, studying behavior, and working with each individual animal to see if they can be re-integrated into a safe home or community.
Many of these animals come with deep-seated fear, aggression, or shutdown responses due to their past. Our goal is to help them become adoptable, or at the very least, help them live peaceful, managed lives with dignity and care.
We are proud to be the first in Goa to build a structured rehabilitation program supported by an international behaviorist. Chris Walton, a UK-based expert in animal behavior, has visited our center multiple times and continues to guide our team both on the ground and remotely. Under his mentorship, our team is training to handle complex behavioral cases with compassion and expertise.
These cases are long, emotionally intense, and resource-heavy—but they matter deeply. Because every animal deserves a second chance—not just to live, but to truly heal.
Safe Environment
We begin with creating a nurturing space where the animal feels safe, cared for, and unthreatened.
Medical Healing
Any physical wounds or untreated illnesses are addressed by our medical team.
Behavioral Evaluation
With support from our animal behaviorist, we assess what emotional or psychological challenges the animal is facing.
Training & Trust Building
Through consistent, positive reinforcement, we begin helping the animal unlearn trauma responses and build trust in humans again.
Integration & Adoption
Once rehabilitated, these animals are either rehomed or integrated into safe environments where they can live fulfilling lives.
