Alpha Angels Animal Trust

Angels for Animals is a woman-led initiative founded by sisters, Sejal and Shraddha Vora, driven by the urgent need to respond to the growing crisis of animal welfare in Goa. What began as a personal encounter with cruelty and helplessness evolved into a structured, impactful movement dedicated to transforming the lives of street and community animals.

We believe compassion must be matched with action. Rather than accepting the grim reality faced by voiceless animals, we chose to become the change. Today, Angels for Animals stands as a grassroots initiative growing into a structured, long-term solution provider for the most vulnerable.

Our Mission

To build a compassionate, inclusive ecosystem in Goa where humans, companion animals, and wildlife coexist in harmony. We are committed to achieving this by focusing on high-impact sterilization, critical medical care, community engagement, education, and the long-term vision of establishing a dedicated sanctuary and hospital for street animals.

Our Vision

Our vision is to foster a community where humans, companion animals, and wildlife coexist peacefully and harmoniously.

Our Story

At the heart of Angels for Animals is a simple but powerful belief: every life matters. Our journey began not in a boardroom, but in a backyard—amidst pain, helplessness, and an overwhelming desire to make things right.

We founded Angels for Animals because we could no longer look away. As women who had never imagined being on the frontlines of animal welfare, we were thrust into it by circumstance—and stayed by choice. What started as an emotional response to witnessing cruelty became a lifelong commitment to protect the voiceless and vulnerable.

Our Story

How It Began

Our move to Goa marked a new beginning—a slower life, a house with space, and a sense of peace. But that peace was short-lived. Our neighbor, battling addiction, had tied a young puppy to a tree with no food or water. Night after night, the puppy cried. Day after day, he was beaten.

We tried everything we could to help, but with no knowledge of animal laws, no local shelter to turn to, and no systems in place, we were stuck—helpless witnesses to needless suffering. That feeling of powerlessness left a mark on us.

But it also lit a spark.

We realized that countless animals were enduring this same fate across Goa—with no one to protect them. No infrastructure, no protocols, no voice.

That moment changed everything. We began reading, learning, reaching out, volunteering—anything to build a foundation of knowledge and resources. Slowly but surely, our lives began to revolve around rescues, treatments, and community outreach.

Angels for Animals was born not just from empathy, but from urgency—a need to build what didn’t exist. Today, we continue this mission with greater clarity, stronger resolve, and a vision to build a sustainable system where no animal is left behind.
