At Angels for Animals, we believe that caring for animals goes beyond rescue and rehabilitation—it also means speaking up when they are harmed. Addressing cruelty is an essential part of protecting animals, and we are steadily building our capacity to support those who want to take a stand.
While our core work focuses on treatment and care, we’re increasingly supporting cases involving cruelty, neglect, and abandonment, especially when it involves companion animals.
Our Approach
We understand that reporting cruelty isn’t always easy—especially when it involves someone in your own neighbourhood. Many people want to help but don’t know where to begin or what the process involves.
That’s why we're taking small but steady steps to support community members in navigating cruelty cases, by:
- Creating awareness about animal protection laws
- Helping citizens understand the steps involved in reporting
- Connecting them with legal experts and resources
- Providing support during complaints or police follow-ups
We are fortunate to be guided by legal advisors and animal welfare experts, including experts from PETA, as well as volunteer lawyers who offer pro bono support.
